Labrador Brochure 2012 – 2013

The Ptarmigan lift has gotten a fresh coat of paint for the upcoming season. We have also spent a lot of time cutting and removing the over growth from trail edges to make better visibility to enjoy your day on the slopes.

We have moved the ski school desk downstairs next to the main office to become more consolidated and to speed up the pass processing for both ski school and season passes. You will be able to
purchase passes, lift tickets, lessons, and rental equipment all at the main desk.

The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY, Inc. is dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer by providing the funding necessary to allow researchers to learn more about this disease. Over $1 million has been raised to provide grants to researchers at Upstate Medical University for The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY, Inc. and over $4 million has been raised downstate to provide grants to the Stony Brook University Medical Center for The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, Inc.

On February 18, 2012 we will host a celebrity ski race that will pit teams from local media outlets, corporations, and groups of individuals against one another in a dual format .

I am writing you to get your support for this event. We are producing high quality “save the peaks” tee shirts, and for a donation your logo can be on the back of these shirts. The money raised from this sponsorship will first go to pay for the tee shirts, which will be sold at the event, and any excess will go directly to the charity.

Your participation can be at one of three levels:

• Gold $500.00
• Silver $250.00
• Bronze $100.00

The higher the level you participate at, the bigger the logo on the shirt. I am aware that we are at the tail end of the recent economic downturn, and that is why it is so important for all of us to put forth a little effort and participate with this fundraiser.

Please forward your tax deductable checks made out to The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY to my attention here at Labrador Mountain. Art work for the tee shirt can be enclosed with the check or emailed to  ejwilson69@gmail.com.

  The race will be on the NASTAR Course, Minipi Rapids trail. GS, best of 2 runs. Scoring will be by NASTAR Team handicap. Teams will consist of at least 5. – No age limit. Teams can be made up of all boys or girls or a mix. Single entries will be put on a team. Registration is $35, which covers the race and an all day lift ticket. All $35 goes to Make A Wish.

Lab has great trails and the best grooming.  Come experience it yourself this winter.

Easy parking for cars (and RVs).

An easy walk to our lodges and restaurant.

Great views of the Cortland County hills.

What’s not to like?

Let’s face it, Labrador Mountain has great variety!  Woods, cruisers, bumps all covered with the best snow we (and mother nature) can provide.
