There’s a lot more than Ski Racing Going on out there! Is the motto of the Labrador Mountain Ski Club, a group that welcomes young skiers who would like to improve their skiing, while challenging themselves by participating in racing events. For more info go to www.labskiteam.org
The club begins its season with a 5-day camp in late December where fundamentals are emphasized, and good skills and team spirit are established.
The program stresses the importance of fun and safety in the sport of ski racing. Skiers train and race in age groups. In addition to basic skills, racers learn to practice good sportsmanship and ski etiquette.
The Club’s development and racing programs have become very popular, and each age group is limited in size. Space is very limited, but a waiting list is maintained. Early registration, therefore, is strongly recommended.
