Manager's Report 2007-2008 PDF Print E-mail

Even though the winters in Central New York have been changing, Labrador has been able to provide you with great skiing, and riding. The cold weather and snow came late and we ended the year with some of the best skiing of the season. Fortunately the staff can work around what Mother Nature has thrown at us here at Labrador. We continue to maintain and upgrade our equipment and the staff at Labrador will work hard to provide you with the best skiing, and riding that upstate New York has to offer.

As the summer unfolds we still have many improvements to make to the area. The main lodge will get its final stage of vinyl siding and new energy efficient windows to help keep operating costs down. Labrador’s snow making system has undergone enhancements that will not only allow the process of making snow to be easier but it will also improve the timing to open the trail.

The badger lift has had some maintenance up grades for the upcoming season. The half pipe is in transition of being moved over to the terrain park. This will ease the process of getting the pipe up and going faster and help the staff on cutting and grooming this popular feature. Labrador is planning several events and another fireworks display this season that will light up the entire mountain and keep our patrons in awe. We look forward to seeing you on the slopes this winter.

Sincerely,
Erik J Wilson
