The staff has been busy preparing for another great year of boarding and skiing at Labrador Mountain. During the off season the crew has made minor but essential improvements including new vinyl siding on the lift buildings and the lifts have received a new coat of paint. The Cutthroat Race building has been replaced and the Nastar building has been elevated to create better visibility. Snowmaking pipes have been added and replaced on the hill to enhance our snowmaking capabilities.
If you’re new in the area or to Labrador, we are a family area nestled in the little town of Truxton approximately 12 miles north of Cortland and 20 miles south of Syracuse. We have 250 acres which consist of three peaks, 22 slopes and trails, and a vertical drop of 700 feet. This is a ski & snowboard center that you and your family won’t want to miss. Skiers and Boarders of Central New York voted Labrador once again as the #1 place to ski and ride.
We have a 3000-foot Snowboard Park with tabletops, rails, box-slides, and a 400-foot half pipe. We offer ski and snowboard lessons for those of you that would like to learn or advanced lessons for anyone looking to increase their skills. We have 2 cafeterias and 1 full service restaurant which offer live entertainment & Prime Rib on the weekends.
As the summer comes to an end, our thoughts turn gratefully to those who have made our progress possible. We look forward to seeing all of our loyal patrons and welcome anyone who would like to come out and enjoy our family area. Check out the snow before you show on our 2 live cams at www.labradormtn.com.
